The VOUGHT AU-1 ™ Corsair® is a US Navy fighter aircraft. It was manufactured by Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft in 1942-1952. The popular "Corsair" entered service in 1942. The characteristic shape of the broken wings, the rear-moving cockpit and the propeller with a diameter of over 4 meters made it impossible to confuse it with any other machine. The long construction phase of the ever-improving Corsairs began to come to an end with the advent of jet aircraft. The Corsair took an active part in the Korean War, where it no longer played an important role as a fighter aircraft, but performed very well as a support aircraft. From 1952, Corsair entered the US Navy with the symbol AU-1. The letter "A" in the name meant support aircraft. The aircraft were armed with four 20 mm cannons located on the wings. A novelty was the hooks for hanging rockets and bombs. Corsair could hold around 1,815 kg of combat cargo.

The set was developed under license from the American megatechnology and defense company Northrop Grumman. A set of the AU-1 ™ Corsair® contains 330 pieces and a pilot figure. COBI's fighter aircraft model was developed with attention to detail.
The aircraft has a movable propeller and ailerons. The rotating wheels with rubber tires can be lifted out of the landing gear in take-off or landing position. The wings are folded in a manner characteristic of this aircraft. You can attach rockets using block hooks. The cockpit can be opened to place a pilot figure at the controls. The plane has been covered with high quality prints that will not wear off even during intensive play. There are no stickers at all in this set. The prints reflect the Korean War-era likeness and equipment of the aircraft.
The set also includes a special stand that makes the model's presentation even more attractive and a building block with the name of the aircraft.
